Daily news and bids
Every day the site reads Caltrans' Contracts Out for Bid page and records each advertised project (contract number, bid opening date, county, description). New bid openings become data briefs automatically. State solicitations, legislation and agency rule changes are tracked by the editors, and original stories are written from at least two sources.
